Unity Party to Hold Convention Saturday, April 17th in Boulder
Boulder, Colo. -- The Unity Party of Colorado will be holding its annual convention at the Boulder Draft House in Boulder at noon on Saturday, April 17th, two days after Tax Day and two days before the anniversary of Lexington and Concord. The Unity Party of America, whose membership now covers over half the country, will be holding its first national convention in conjunction with the Colorado state convention, at the same location.
"It looks like we'll have a decent turnout for this year's state party nomination convention," says Unity Party state and national chairman Bill Hammons, "and, in light of the fact that our pace of expansion across the country is starting to accelerate, it's time to adopt a Constitution of the Unity Party of America and thus put the party on a firm organizational footing while our organization is still small. Also, it's time to take a fresh look at the party's platform, and so we're giving our national membership the opportunity to join us in Boulder if any of them can. Now that Congress has criminalized those of us who have lost our health insurance to the Great Recession, our plank of full health care tax deductions for all is more relevant than ever, but I'd like to give every member of the Unity Party of America every opportunity to have his or her say on our message."
