          Amendment to the Constitution of the United States;
the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall
          not be infringed."

          Amendment to the Constitution of the United States;
the right of the people to be secure in their persons,
houses, papers, and effects shall not be violated."
        3. Make Minimum Voting & Donating Ages 16 (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Bill Hammons)
Text: "When Americans are old enough to drive at 16, they're
          old enough to make political donations and vote in elections;
conversely, Americans should not be able to make political
donations if they're not allowed to vote in the first place."
        4. Call for DC Statehood (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Bill Hammons)
Text: "Taxation without Representation for Hundreds of Thousands
of American Citizens in the US Capital is symbolic of the
dysfunction of the two-party duopoly; the Unity Party supports
DC Statehood with appropriate provisions for Federal property."
        5. Resign to Run (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Bill Hammons)
Text: "To give the American Taxpayer relief from subsidizing
the careers of incumbent officeholders, elected Federal officials
seeking office higher than the one they currently hold should
resign immediately upon filing for a primary election; the
timing of such resignations would allow for the holding of
replacement elections in a seamless and efficient manner."
        6. Self-Determination of All Peoples (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Bill Hammons)
Text: "Unity supports the right of self-determination for
all Peoples, including their right to establish new States
within the United States of America as appropriate."
        7. Free and Fair Trade (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Bill Hammons)
Text: "Unity supports global free trade in the interest
of long-term economic development, so long as provisions
are made for a Global Minimum Wage to protect workers
both here and abroad, and for carbon tariffs to fight
global warming and protect American manufacturers."
        8. Enhance Electoral Security (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Bill Hammons)
Text: "In this age of hackers and other criminals
willing to do anything to advance their own agenda
and subvert American democracy, Unity supports the
requirement that all individual votes in Federal
elections, whether they be cast electronically
or by other means, be recorded with paper receipts."
        9. Put Campaign Finance on Solid Foundation (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Bill Hammons)
Text: "Unity declares that all Federal political
contributions, whether they be spent directly or
indirectly on campaigns for Federal office, should
be reported on a timely basis in terms of individual
source and should be limited to no more than the
current limit of $2,700 per individual donor,
adjusted for inflation going forward; if
corporations are real people and money is speech,
corporations should be held to the same standards
as real people and money still can't be tossed onto
the roaring bonfire of corruption threatening the
very structures at the heart of American democracy."
        10. Corporate Donation Patches (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "Any candidate elected to any office is required
to provide a visual patch on their outer clothing that
represents any corporate fiscal donations made during
their recent election cycle (i.e., forced public
disclaimer of financial support provided to them)."
        11. Government Debt Repayment (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "Unity supports an amendment that requires any
debt held by the US Government or by State Governments
be required to be paid in full within five years of going
into debt. Until all past debts are paid, no additional
debt may be established or created by the Government."
        12. Universal Basic Income (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Adam Alonzi)
Text: "Massive technological unemployment is a problem facing every developed nation in the world. If it is not accepted as a certainty, it should at least be considered a strong possibility. While the degree and rapidity of the change can be debated, there is no doubt machines will have a significant impact on the public and private sectors. It is as senseless to condemn a natural disaster as it is to discourse on the desirability of the inevitable. Cursing at the rising tide will not change it. In the face of the unavoidable the only rational option is to prepare, preferably as far in advance as circumstances allow.

One of the most popular solutions to this problem is the instatement of a universal basic income, which would guarantee an unconditional stipend to every citizen. As unusual as it may sound at first, and although there are some who would be reluctant to begin the policy before it is deemed absolutely necessary, sooner would be better than later. It should not be viewed as a last resort to silence civil unrest. There are few economic perspectives from which UBI does not make sense. Even the staunchest proponents of the free market must acknowledge that a severe shortage of job will lead to changes in the way people live. With full automation the stipend may not need to be particularly large. Increasing automation should decrease the cost of production, which in turn should cause the cost of manufactured goods to plummet."

        13. Balanced Budget Amendment (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "The Balanced Budget Amendment plank of the Unity
Party Article II platform shall be amended to read:
'Unity supports the passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment
in the interests of the nation's fiscal and economic health.
Any short-term stimulative benefits gained by deficit spending
are far outweighed by the long-term damage that spending inflicts
on the economy. It's time to stop spending our children's
inheritance, and it's time for the state legislatures to apply
to Congress for a new Constitutional Convention to pass this
and other amendments, per Article V of the US Constitution.'"
        14. Supreme Court Override (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Hunter Crow)
Text: "Unity supports an amendment to the US Constitution which
allows a two-thirds majority of the States to override a US
          Supreme Court decision."
        15. Judicial Term Limits (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Hunter Crow)
Text: "Unity supports an amendment to the US Constitution which
imposes term limits on Federal Judges, including US Supreme
          Court Justices."
        16. Update the 27th Amendment (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "Unity proposes that the 27th Amendment to the Constitution
have added to it: 'The annual salaries of Members of Congress
or their staff shall not exceed the median income of the entire
          collective working population.'"
        17. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and Food Labeling
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "There are still unanswered questions regarding the potential long-term impact on human health from foods produced with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), and those foods need to be specifically designated and labeled as such by the FDA, and all foods and drinks shall provide additional consumer information for better-educated purchasing decisions.

FDA Food Labels shall include the following additional information on the front of the package: "Does this product contain GMOs: (Yes/No). Total # of Calories within this Package: xxxx Calories (NOTE: Not as a per serving number, but as a per package number). Total Amount of Caffeine within this Package: xxxx milligrams."

        18. Internet Gambling
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "The Unity Party shall endorse efforts to support changing the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006) by changing the law to support Taxation and National Regulation of all forms of internet Gaming to include, but not limited to, eSports, Fantasy Sports, Poker, and National Lotteries regardless of whether the game is considered a game of skill or a game of chance."
        19. War Referenda
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Hunter Crow)
Text: "Unity supports an Amendment to the US Constitution which allows all US citizens the right of a national referendum on their country's involvement in military conflicts, to determine whether America shall go to war or not."
        20. The American Space Program
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Hunter Crow)
Text: "Unity supports a focused, efficient and aggressive US space program which leads the world. An American space program that sets the pace will not only inspire Humankind, but will lead to many short and long-term benefits for our nation. Space exploration and the eventual building of colonies on the moon, Mars and planets beyond will provide us with the 'life jacket' Humankind might need."
        21. Working Congress
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "US Congress shall vote yearly to establish the working battle rhythm of being 'in session' no less than 300 days per year, and that each elected official must be in attendance on-site in the US Congressional Chambers for a minimum of 80% of the established session. Failure to meet the 80% yearly minimum requirement, automatically eliminates that member of Congress during the next election cycle for re-election consideration."
        22. Can Drive 95
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Christopher E. Otwell)
Text: "The Interstate Highways shall have the maximum speed limit set to 95 miles per hour, for traffic at least 3 miles outside of the nearest City Limits."
        23. Supporting our Military
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Hunter Crow)
Text: "Unity supports our military service members, both active duty and retired, the many brave men and women who have honorably defended our great nation. Unity supports all efforts to get our military better healthcare and retirement benefits as well as making it easier for all veterans to get access to the benefits they need, no question asked."
        24. Land Taxes
          (Article II Amendment)
          (Proposed by Aidan King)
Text: "Unity supports gradually decreasing the tax on buildings and other improvements to zero and replacing them with taxes on land value. This will be an incentive for land owners to develop the land, improve on existing properties, create jobs, and reduce urban sprawl while still accommodating increasing populations. This can also reduce or even eliminate income taxes."
